Special report starts at noon

The House Jan. 6 committee will have a final hearing about the violent insurrection on the U.S. Capitol on Monday.

ABC News will air a special report live starting at noon. David Muir will anchor the special report, which is expected to last about an hour.

The committee is expected to recommend criminal charges against former President Donald Trump.

The panel, which consists of seven Democrats and two Republicans, has conducted more than 1,000 interviews since July 2021, when it launched. It has also collected more than a million documents among its massive trove of evidence.
