San Antonio River wins prestigious Thiess International River Prize Award

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio River received the prestigious Thiess International River Prize award in a formal ceremony on Monday,

The award is the world's foremost award in river basin management.

The prize recognizes and rewards organizations making waves in the sustainable management of the world's river.

A special commemorative poster was also unveiled in honor of the occasion on Monday.

Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff said this is a great honor for the community.
