The schools will be located at the intersection of Watson Road and Somerset Road.

Resnik Middle School will be the fourth middle school in the district, while Southwest Legacy will be the second high school in the district.

The school names, mascots, and colors were selected thorough a community input process, and through interactive input from a representative sample of SWISD students.

Resnik Middle School will be the home of the Jets and its colors will be purple and white.

Southwest Legacy High School will be known as the home of the Titans, and although green will remain as the primary color in its color scheme, and black as an accent color, the secondary color of the school will be gold. The name Legacy was chosen to honor the legacy of the pioneers of the district and the area throughout various structures at the new school.
