SAN ANTONIO – Family, friends and members of Last Chance Ministries gathered for a vigil to remember 19-year old Victoria Robles.

Victoria, the daughter of Pastor Jimmy Robles died in a one vehicle crash on southeast Loop 410 at around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday.

"We believe in God and we believe that God does things for a reason and for purposes," said Janet Yanez, an administrator at Last Chance Ministries.

The Chevrolet Suburban Robles was in left the highway and collided with a cable center barrier. A total of six victims were ejected from the vehicle, police said. They included a 6-year-old boy, an 8-year-old boy and Robles. All three died at the scene. Four others, including a 1-year-old girl are in critical condition.

"Victoria was a 19-year-old beautiful girl with a beautiful heart," Yanez said.

Pastor Robles did not attend tonight's vigil. He released this statement regarding the crash:

This is an absolute heartbreak for our family. Victoria was taken from us too soon. As a pastor, I've been there for hundreds of families in similar circumstances, but I wasn't quite prepared for this. Our faith in God and the love of friends and family will see us through. We are asking for everyone to pray for our family and to hug your own loved ones a little tighter tonight, because we never know what plans The Lord has for us.

Loved ones and ministry members said they plan to be by the pastor and his family’s side for as long as it's needed.

"We're going to hold him in our hearts and going to continue to love him and his wife and his whole family," Yanez said.
