Despite pandemic, dental experts encourage patients to keep up with annual cleanings

Recommended to visit dentist every 6 months

It’s important to make your health a priority, especially during these uncertain times.

Waiting to see the dentist when you’re in pain or if there’s a larger issue will make the situation harder and more expensive to treat.

“Brushing and flossing twice a day is very important to keep up your hygiene to prevent any decay," said Adam Martinez, a dentist for Risas Dental. "Decay can lead to serious issues. Oral health leads to an overall healthy body.”

Martinez advised that it’s important to see your dentist every six months in order to maintain good oral health and hygiene. To ensure it’s easier for everyone to do so, his practice making it easier to do that by offering specials on braces, clear aligners and payment plans.

Martinez said the health and safety of patients is the No. 1 priority at Risas Dental. Temperature checks are taken before entering, and social distance decal stickers are placed on the floors to keep patients six feet apart.

San Antonio has two convenient Risas locations that are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
