SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio will be celebrating its 300th birthday in 2018 and students from all across the city will be able to learn the city’s rich history in an interactive setting taught in the classrooms.
The Tricentennial Commission, UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures, and Toyota Manufacturing groups are collaborating to bring free resources that contain interactive lesson plan ideas for students ranging from pre-K to the 12th grade.
“Our students are very technology sophisticated. They also enjoy being able to learn about things in a way that’s meaningful for them,” Dr. Carolyn Castillo with Region 20 said.
The materials are available for anyone to download at San Antonio 300’s website and on KSAT.com as KSAT-12 is the official media sponsor of San Antonio’s 300th birthday celebration.
