HOUSTON – Former President George H.W. Bush and former first lady Barbara Bush will toss the opening coin at Super Bowl LI.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed the former first family’s involvement during his annual pregame news conference Wednesday afternoon.

This would be the first public appearance for the Bushes since they were treated and released from Houston Methodist Hospital.
Houston will play host to the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons for the NFL championship game Sunday evening.
