SAN ANTONIO – Three additional suspects have been arrested and charged with first-degree felony aggravated kidnapping in connection with the abduction and death of 37-year-old Jaime Adolfo Rodriguez, whose body was dumped in southeast Bexar County earlier this month.
Authorities arrested Amanda Ann Garza, 40, on Sunday, followed by Mark Anthony Moran, 38, on Wednesday, and Carlos Alvidrez Jr., 36, on Thursday, according to Bexar County arrest affidavits.

All three face charges of aggravated kidnapping with a deadly weapon in connection with the Sept. 5 incident.
The new arrests come after Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputies previously arrested Francisco Garza, 39, who was initially charged with failure to report a felony resulting in death before investigators upgraded his charges to aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after reviewing surveillance footage.
According to court documents, the investigation began Sept. 6 when a resident spotted Rodriguez’s body wearing only blue boxer shorts and white socks on a private road in the 8000 block of New Sulphur Springs Road.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled his death a homicide, noting he suffered a gunshot wound to the upper left chest, head lacerations and multiple broken ribs.
Investigators discovered that the abduction stemmed from a dispute over money and drugs.
Amanda Garza told homicide detectives that Rodriguez had robbed her of $12,000 meant for a drug transaction on Sept. 4 at her home on Ash Field. She stated the money belonged to a man identified by investigators as Matthew Doria.
Surveillance footage and witness accounts revealed that early on Sept. 5, a group confronted Rodriguez at a home in the 2100 block of Rivas Street.
Investigators say several individuals assaulted Rodriguez, kicking and punching him repeatedly before chasing him down as he tried to flee in his underwear.
According to the affidavits, surveillance video captured Alvidrez chasing Rodriguez, striking him, and forcing him into the back of a white Chevrolet Tahoe owned by Moran.
Moran admitted to deputies that he assaulted Rodriguez and drove the Tahoe with Rodriguez in the rear cargo area. Moran told investigators he had lent the vehicle to Alvidrez in exchange for methamphetamine and identified Alvidrez as the person who killed Rodriguez.
Deputies located Moran’s Tahoe at an apartment complex on Starcrest Drive on Wednesday, where they detained Moran and another man who was actively removing the vehicle’s license plates. Investigators noted marks resembling dried blood in the Tahoe’s rear cargo area.
Alvidrez was taken into custody during a traffic stop Thursday and admitted during questioning to pursuing, assaulting and forcing Rodriguez into the Tahoe. Investigators noted in court filings that an arrest warrant has also been obtained for Matthew Doria on charges of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
