BULVERDE, Texas – Texas Water Company customers are being asked to limit water use to “essential purposes only” and boil water prior to consumption as the company experiences a water main break along the U.S. Highway 281 North corridor.
As of 3 p.m. Friday, KSAT confirmed the water main break has not been repaired, and there is no timeline for when the issue will be resolved.

Customers impacted by the water main break include neighbors living in the following service areas:
- Bulverde Hills
- The city of Bulverde
- Comal Hills
- Copper Canyon
- Cypress Springs on the Guadalupe
- Edgebrook
- Glenwood
- Goldsmith
- Hidden Trails
- Hwy 281 North
- Lantana Ridge
- Oakland Estates
- Rebecca Creek
- River Crossing
- Riverwood Estates
- Saddleridge
- Serenity Oaks
- Simmons Valley
- Singing Hills
- Spring Branch Meadows
- The Crossing at Spring Creek
- Woods of Spring Branch
A boil water notice was also issued for those who live in the Lantana area within the Canyon Lake Shores. Customers within this service area are asked to boil water prior to washing their hands or face, brushing their teeth or drinking water, especially children, seniors and people with weakened immune systems.
The company posted the alert just after 7 a.m. Friday, and said water service may be interrupted for approximately four hours during repairs.
