LAS VEGAS – After battling injuries and setbacks to start his NFL career, Judson High School and University of Texas at San Antonio alum Sincere McCormick finally had the chance to shine when he got called on to fill in as the Las Vegas Raiders’ starting running back due to injuries.
McCormick, a Converse, Texas native, filled in for three games, as he tallied 175 yards on 32 carries, averaging 5.5 yards per rush.

Despite the impressive stats, some figured he would move back down on the depth chart once running backs Alexander Mattison and Zamir White returned.
However, in a press conference on Wednesday, McCormick learned he was actually getting a bigger role when Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce named him the permanent starter moving forward.
“He deserves it. Last week, he was running his tail off,” Pierce said. “So, keep running it, keep pushing those numbers up, see if we can get him to 100.”

McCormick will return to action on Monday, Dec. 16 against the Atlanta Falcons, who have been on a two-game skid.
Additionally, the Falcons rank 17th in total rush defense, so some may predict he could hit the century mark in rushing that Pierce mentioned above.
