Two years after the deadliest mass shooting in state history, Maine voters decided to make it easier for family members to petition a court to restrict a potentially dangerous person’s access to guns.

Maine residents whose sense of safety was shattered last year by a mass shooting have marked the anniversary Friday with a memorial service that drew hundreds of people to the city’s hockey arena.
