The director of the Bexar County Military and Veteran Services Department was frequently absent from the office and failed to address misconduct allegations raised against his deputy director, records obtained Tuesday by KSAT Investigates show.

A months-long investigation by the Bexar County Ombudsman substantiated multiple misconduct allegations against Nancy Taguacta, concluding her behavior more likely than not violated county policy, state law, and federal employment protections.
