The message was also sent to owners of the Tread+ equipment, according to an article by ABC News. But in order to help ensure that you and your family members stay safe with Peloton products in your home, we need your help. To help prevent accidents with the fitness equipment, Foley says customers should review the following:Keep children and pets away from Peloton exercise equipment at all times.
Intel says an earnings slide may have leaked early, which is why it released results before close
On Thursday, financial wires published details of Intel's fourth-quarter earnings results minutes ahead of the markets closing at 4 p.m., when they are usually released. CNBC reviewed an infographic with Intel's year-end stats — not a full earnings release — ahead of markets closing on Thursday. Intel ended up publishing its full fourth-quarter results minutes before they were scheduled to be released. "We are investigating reports that non-authorized access may have been obtained to one graphic in our earnings material," an Intel spokesperson told CNBC. Intel's earnings beat its own projections, which the company attributed to strong PC sales, especially in the low-end.cnbc.com
GM may expand Corvette lineup to include a crossover SUV

Michael Wayland / CNBCDETROIT – General Motors is evaluating whether to expand its Corvette lineup – currently a two-seat sports car – to add its first-ever crossover or SUV, a person familiar with the discussions confirmed to CNBC. Bloomberg reported Thursday afternoon that GM has designers working on several Corvette-brand concept vehicles that target a wider range of buyers, likely as an all-electric crossover SUV as early as 2025. If GM decides to expand Corvette to a crossover SUV, it would likely be electric, analysts say. In 2019, Morgan Stanley's Jonas said Corvette was "undervalued and underappreciated by the market" in a note to investors.cnbc.com

BrightDropGM unveiled a new electric delivery van as part of a new EV commercial vehicle and logistics business called BrightDrop. General Motors plans to launch a new all-electric van called the EV600 by the end of this year. "BrightDrop provides an ecosystem of smart, connected products, including electric vehicles and software-enabled services, offering commercial delivery companies a platform for sustainable growth." Intel CEO Bob Swan to step down, VMware CEO Pat Gelsinger to replace him
Intel CEO Bob Swan is stepping down effective Feb. 15 and will be replaced by VMWare CEO Pat Gelsinger, the chipmaker announced Wednesday. Swan was named CEO in January 2019 after serving as interim CEO for seven months. Over the summer, Intel reported that its latest generation chips would be delayed while AMD's were already shipping inside laptops. Third Point urged Intel to divest from "failed acquisitions" and criticized Intel for its "loss of manufacturing leadership." Gelsinger previously worked at Intel, eventually becoming its first chief technology officer.cnbc.com

Samsung to launch its newest Galaxy smartphones on Jan. 14, earlier than usual

SINGAPORE — Samsung said Monday its next smartphone announcement will be held on Jan. 14, where it is expected to launch the newest versions of its Galaxy flagship phones. Samsung, South Korea's electronics giant, typically launches its Galaxy flagship devices in February, close to or during the Mobile World Congress trade show. However, media reports of previous leaks suggest there could be three phones announced: Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra, which are likely to succeed the company's S20 devices. Intel drops on weak results for its data center group
Here's how the company did:Earnings: $1.11 per share, adjusted, vs. $1.11 per share as expected by analysts, according to Refinitiv. Intel's Data Center Group came up with $5.91 billion in revenue, down 7% and less than the FactSet consensus estimate of $6.21 billion. In the fiscal third quarter Intel announced the departure of engineering leader Murthy Renduchintala and said McKinsey executive Safroadu Yeboah-Amankwah was joining as chief strategy officer. During the quarter Intel did not announce progress on its goal of increasing the ranks of women and minorities in leadership positions. Excluding the after-hours move, Intel share are down about 10% since the beginning of 2020, while the S&P 500 is up 7%.cnbc.com

Any bigger, and the company considers them to be a "collaboration monitor" for mounting on a wall or in a conference room. Dell's not the only company that is now making larger and larger monitors. Dell's 43-inch monitor, which I recently tried, will retail for $1,049, for instance. Samsung unveils 'Ballie,' a ball-shaped robot that rolls around your home
Samsung showed off some new gadgets at its CES keynote, including a spherical robot assistant and glasses for augmented reality. The company kicked things off with a robot companion the size of a tennis ball, called Ballie. The device, which comes equipped with a camera, was seen following Samsung Consumer Electronics CEO H.S. Kim around onstage at the event late Monday, even rolling into his hand when he said the phrase: "Come here Ballie." The video from Samsung showed it communicating with a smart vacuum cleaner to clear up some spilled cereal.cnbc.com
