Entering last week, the Hondo Owls were on a three-game losing streak and badly needed a win to keep their playoff hopes alive. A Week 8 win against Lytle gave the Owls confidence heading into their Week 9 battle against the Crystal City Javelinas.

HONDO Alongside the rest of the Class 1A-4A teams across the state of Texas, the Hondo Owls returned to practice ready to prepare for the upcoming high school football season, their first under new head coach Joe Cary. SOUTH TEXAS – We are now halfway through the 2017 high school football regular season. Time flies when you’re running around South Texas on the Big Game Coverage Road Trip. This non-district game will kick 7:30 p.m. Friday at Warhorse Stadium. This marks Natalia’s last non-district game before starting District 15-3A-II action next week. Due to field conditions at Dragon Stadium, the game has been moved to Southwest Legacy Stadium.
