Former UTSA women’s basketball standout Jordyn Jenkins has signed a WNBA training camp contract with the Las Vegas Aces, marking a historic moment as she becomes the first player from the Roadrunners program to join a WNBA team.

The UTSA Roadrunners will compete in the second annual Women’s Basketball Invitational Tournament. Their first-round matchup against Gonzaga will be on the Bulldogs’ home floor in Spokane, Washington.

The Roadrunners’ 70-68 win over Memphis made it their sixth straight conference win, which is a new school record.

With a win against Memphis on Wednesday night, the UTSA Roadrunners would set a new school record for the best start in conference play.

The UTSA women’s basketball program has seen many talented teams battle opponents at the Convocation Center.
