Texas has expanded its medical marijuana program, adding new qualifying conditions and treatment options, such as inhalers.

The Texas Department of Public Safety has issued provisional licenses to nine new medical marijuana operators while existing ones have started opening new manufacturing and cultivating facilities.

Medical program leaders want a ban on synthetic delta-8 THC, which makes up the bulk of consumable hemp products.
