Perruzza tallies brace, San Antonio FC tops OKC Energy FC 2-0
SAN ANTONIO – Even though San Antonio FC clinched their first playoff berth since 2017 on Wednesday, the team still had plenty to play for when they took the pitch at Toyota Field to face OKC Energy FC on Saturday night. Playing in his third match since being acquired on loan from Toronto FC on Sept. 8, Perruzza scored his first two goals with the club and generated numerous chances to power San Antonio to a 2-0 victory over OKC Energy. San Antonio ends their home schedule with a perfect 8-0-0 record. For the game, San Antonio dominated offensively, outshooting OKC 21-9, with seven shots on target. San Antonio native Matt Cardone notched three saves to record the club’s seventh clean sheet this season.

San Antonio FC snaps two-game skid, tops OKC Energy FC 3-1
SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio FC (10-11-7) beat OKC Energy FC (9-10-10) 3-1 at Toyota Field on Saturday night. Goals from Rafa Castillo, Frank Lopez, and an OKC own goal earned the club three important points at home amid their playoff push. "The way we approached the game, the intensity and purpose of what we wanted to do was there. OKC pulled one back in the 78th minute after forward Deshorn Brown capitalized from the penalty spot to make it 3-1. San Antonio FC will return to USL Championship action on Friday, Sept. 20 as the team travels to face LA Galaxy II at 9 p.m. CT.
