Ohio State coach Ryan Day has agreed in principle to a seven-year contract valued at $12.5 million a year.

Ohio State has removed the interim tag from men’s basketball coach Jake Diebler’s title and announced he will receive a five-year contract.

The announcement comes after the university spent more than $75 million to fire former football coach Jimbo Fisher. A&M did not immediately say how much it will pay Elko.

Texas A&M fired coach Jimbo Fisher on Sunday, a move that will cost the school $75 million.

The buyout amount is the largest in college sports history.
