An agreement between anti-war protesters and Northwestern University has largely ended demonstrations against the Israel-Hamas war on the suburban Chicago campus.

Although the skies were cloudy and blocked the sun, students and families were thrilled to experience the darkness that came with totality.

The Chow Train, a nonprofit food truck, gave out lunch bags to voters for free on the first day of early voting. The Chow Train typically feeds homeless people in the area. Early voting locations, including at the AT&T Center, are open up again at 8 a.m. Wednesday. You can vote early through Oct. 30.
