“This initial wave that comes in will last for two to three hours, and the rate of snowfall will be 1 to briefly 2 inches per hour,” Kluber said. “So as far as snow totals go, we’re looking at the potential in the far northwest suburbs of 3 to 5 inches by mid-evening. At O’Hare we’re looking at 2 to 4 inches by the same time, and for the city as a whole, anywhere from 1 to 4 inches with the highest totals on the Northwest Side.”
