Major accident kills 1, shuts down portion of Loop 410 at Starcrest Drive

SAN ANTONIO – A major accident Saturday night killed a woman, San Antonio police said.

The accident occurred just before 9:30 p.m. along Northeast Loop 410 westbound at Starcrest Drive.

Traffic was forced to exit at Harry Wurzbach Road while police worked to clear the scene.

On Sunday, the medical examiner identified the woman killed as Laura Sampayo, 23.

Police said the truck Sampayo was driving hit the back of the bus. Police are trying to determine how the accident occurred.
