A Reminder for National Donate Life Month

Kerson Barns was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease as a kid, learning dialysis, surgeries, and medical jargon far too early. By 15 he’d had his first kidney transplant, by 25 his second, each one made possible by donors. He emphasizes what many miss: a transplant isn’t a cure. During National Donate Life Month in April, his story is a reminder that organ donation’s impact lasts long after surgery.
