SAPD releases video of person of interest in downtown shooting investigation

San Antonio police just released surveillance video of a man they want to talk to about a deadly shooting downtown. The video shows him walking into a Denny's on East Commerce Street about an hour before Jonathan Alderete, 35, was shot near Hemisfair Plaza Way on Aug. 30. Police describe him as 20 to 24 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing red shorts and a black hoodie. One man has already been arrested in the case, and investigators say it started over something as small as a basketball.
