Spring Branch man wanted on child sex charges

SAN ANTONIO – After a nearly eight-year search, authorities have issued a public plea for help finding a man who is accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl.

The U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is looking for Romeo Rodriguez, 68.

"Back in December 2008, warrants were issued for Rodriguez's arrest following an indictment filed with the Comal County 207th District Court. The indictment alleged that Rodriguez sexually assaulted and violated a young child who was under the age of 14 years old," Deputy Chris Bozeman said.

Rodriguez faces three charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child and two charges of indecency with a child.

He is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. He has partially gray hair and brown eyes.

"His last known place of residence was in Spring Branch, Texas," Bozeman said.
