San Antonio's population is continuously growing, as there are over 1.5 million residents within the city's border, according to the United States Census Bureau

If you're looking to move close to downtown and still want that suburb community, Broadway Street offers great attractions for families and couples of all ages.

Some places to visit on Broadway Street and close to the San Antonio staple are The DoSeum, Historic Pearl Brewers, the Witte Museum, San Antonio Zoo and Brackenridge Park.

The DoSeum (children's museum)

In 2015, The DoSeum opened its doors for families with 104,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space.

According to The DoSeum, 60 percent of the exhibits focus on concepts in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), while others emphasize literacy and the creative arts to create a diverse learning experience.

The DoSeum even offers free family nights throughout the year.

Historic Pearl Brewery

The Pearl has easily become one of the most popular destinations in San Antonio for both locals and tourists.

If you're looking for that Austin vibe, the Pearl offers fine dining restaurants, farmers markets, live music, retail shops, cafes, bars, bakeries, extraordinary living spaces and a 4-star hotel.

If you have kids, there is a water fountain they can play in. The Pearl is also very dog-friendly.

Witte Museum

The Witte Museum is great for all ages, as the museum showcases the history of Texas through nature, science and culture.

San Antonio Zoo

Who doesn't love the zoo? The San Antonio Zoo offers activities for kids featuring giraffe feeding, a zoo train, Lory Landing, a flamingo mingle and a behind the scenes experience with tortoises and hippos.

Kiddie Park, one of San Antonio's most treasured landmarks, will be opening Oct. 18 at the SA Zoo. Kiddie Park is the oldest children’s amusement parks in the country, according to Kiddie Park

Brackenridge Park

For people who want to escape into nature, Brackenridge Park is great for biking, golfing, picnicking, running and walking, kite flying, yoga and bird watching. Other destinations by Brackenridge Park include the Japanese Tea Gardens, Alamo City Golf Trail and the Sunken Garden Theater.
