Did you receive a phone call offering a free cruise? You might be entitled to $300

Class-action lawsuit is looking for claims

Feel like receiving $300? All you have to do is enter your phone number on a free class-action website -- and if you received a robocall from cruise lines Carnival, Norwegian or Royal Caribbean you might just be entitled to a payout.

According to the Miami Herald, a class-action lawsuit against the cruise lines and Resort Marketing Group means some people could receive as much as $900 for the calls.

The lawsuit filed claims the cruise lines made telemarketing calls without permission after teaming with Resort Marketing Group. The claim says the companies violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

In July a federal judge granted preliminary approval of a settlement requiring the creation a settlement fund valued between $7 million and $12.5 million (depending on how many claims are filed).

The calls in question occurred between July 2009 and March 2014.
