Officials announced that the lockdown was lifted.

All campuses in the Lytle Independent School District are under lockdown Wednesday morning.

According to the district's website, the decision was made to lock down the schools as officials and law enforcement officials investigate a "possible senior hoax/prank."

The Medina County Sheriff's Office and the Lytle Police Department are helping school officials with the investigation.

"We will (err) on the side of caution to keep our students' safety top priority. Thank you for your understanding," the website said.
