Seniors in The University of the Incarnate Word's fashion design program showed off their collections at the "The Cutting Edge" Fiesta Fashion Show on Monday.
Paige Digiovanni, Heather Fitzgerald, Veronica Hernandez, Christiana Lazarine, Ricki Martin, Adriana Mendez, Sara Stevens and Adelle Stivalet worked on their collections for more than a year before sending them down the runway at the Marriott Rivercenter Hotel.
Lazarine's collection won Best in Show. She says her future is wide open.
"I'd like to go to Philadelphia, maybe work for Urban Outfitters. Or (go to) New York and go back to school. That's kind of up in the air right now, " Lazarine said.
For the first year, the audience was allowed to buy the clothing after the fashion show.
