Hundreds experience Taste of New Orleans' best dishes

SAN ANTONIO – Fiesta 2017 is in full swing this weekend, with events happening across the Alamo City, including one of Fiesta’s most popular events: Taste of New Orleans.

Hundreds came together at the Sunken Garden Theater for the 32nd annual Taste of New Orleans.

The menu consisted of Cajun-style fare, including gumbo, crawfish and alligator.

One man said it was his first time partaking in Fiesta, and the event did not disappoint.

“For 20 years, I wanted to come here. I'm not from San Antonio, but it's been like on my bucket list. I finally came here, and it's everything people talked about. Nice atmosphere, beautiful people, good food and great music,” Manuel de la Rosa said.

This year’s proceeds will be donated to fund college scholarships and Donate Life Texas.

The party continues Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.
