“I knew I loved you the moment I met you," she wrote. “It was something I can’t describe to anyone who hasn’t experienced it firsthand but luckily you did too.. I’ve never felt so unconditionally loved by someone in my life (other than my parents) flaws and all. You never pressure me to be anything other than myself. And you make me want to be the best version of myself."

Lovato and Ehrich began dating this year. Ehrich, 29, has earned multiple Daytime Emmy nominations for his work in “The Young and the Restless," has appeared on various TV shows and films and has also released music. Grammy-nominated Lovato, 27, has released a number of gold and platinum albums and singles, first marking a breakthrough in the Disney Channel musical TV film “Camp Rock."

“You are every love song, every film, every lyric, every poem, everything I could ever dream of and then some in a partner in life. Words cannot express how infinitely in love with you I am forever and always and then some," Ehrich wrote. “I cannot spend another second of my time here on Earth without the miracle of having you as my wife. here’s to forever baby."

This year Lovato has released several singles, performed the national anthem at the Super Bowl and sang at the Grammys. She had mostly taken a break from the public since focusing on her recovery after reportedly overdosing in July 2018.

Lovato, who has spoken about her struggles with an eating disorder, self-mutilation, drugs and alcohol, celebrated six years of sobriety in March 2018. But she relapsed, revealing the news in the song “Sober,” released in June 2018.

“I’m honored to accept your hand in marriage. I love you more than a caption could express but I’m ecstatic to start a family and life with you," she wrote Thursday. “I love you forever my baby. My partner. Here’s to our future!!!!"

Lovato also thanked photographer Angelo Kritkos “FOR HIDING BEHIND ROCKS AND CAPTURING THE ENTIRE THING!!!"
