How much is too much alcohol?

Drinking in moderation key, Consumer Reports says

With the holiday season upon us, there's plenty of reason to celebrate with a cocktail or two.

Depending on the alcohol, drinks have a standard pour.

For wine, it's 5 ounces. For beer, 12 ounces, and for hard liquor, 1 1/2 ounces.

Looks can be deceiving in a glass, especially when it comes to wine.

Experts suggest using a measuring cup or shot glass to pour the right amount of alcohol.

Sipping water between drinks is a good way to avoid overdoing it at office parties and family gatherings, experts said.
