WILSON COUNTY, Texas – Jury selection is expected to begin Monday in the trial of the lone survivor of a triple fatal accident in Wilson County in June 2009.
Hector Esqueda, 24, was the only survivor of the crash on US Highway 181 south of Poth.
A total of four people were riding in a Honda headed north on US 181 when the vehicle crossed the median and slammed into an HEB truck head-on. All four were ejected from the Honda.
Priscillia Montoya, 20, Orlando Brown, 18, and Kara Denkewalter, 20, were all pronounced dead at the scene.
Esqueda is charged with three counts of intoxication manslaughter.
