Jewelry store worker accused of stealing jewelry

Deshone Bradley, 21, charged with theft

SAN ANTONIO – A jewelry store worker is accused of giving himself a big discount. San Antonio police believe he took more than $3,500 worth of jewelry for free.

Deshone Bradley, 21, is charged with theft in this case. It marks at least the second time he is in trouble with the law recently.

Managers at Kay Jewelers at Ingram Park Mall contacted police in April with their suspicions about a diamond tennis bracelet, worth nearly $2,800, that was missing from inventory, an arrest affidavit stated. The bracelet was actually discovered to be missing in February.

The affidavit stated that the store's managers began to suspect Bradley, an employee, might have something to do with it after he was arrested on unrelated charges.

Later, they discovered, through a pawn shop internet database called "Leads Online," that Bradley had pawned the bracelet as well as a stolen diamond ring, the affidavit stated.

Police investigated and obtained a warrant for Bradley's arrest Monday.

According to previous reports on KSAT 12 News, Bradley also was arrested earlier this year on a burglary charge.

In that case, he's accused of breaking into a pizza restaurant where he had previously worked as a shift manager.

The burglary at the Papa John's on Potranco Road happened in February.
