SAN ANTONIO – Police say a man on the Southwest Side was attacked with a meat cleaver Sunday afternoon.

Officers responded to a disturbance in the 1300 block of Springvale around 3 p.m.

The man who was attacked told the officers that his girlfriend was unhappy he was moving out and hit him with a small meat cleaver. He suffered cuts to his head, but was not hospitalized.

Police say his girlfriend faces possible charges of aggravated assault.
