Jovani Alvarez charged in jewelry theft San Antonio police: Alvarez pawned jewelry allegedly stolen by his wife Karleen Alvarez
Jovani Alvarez, 29, was charged with theft. According to an arrest affidavit, Alvarez pawned some jewelry that his wife stole at a home where she was working as a maid.
SAN ANTONIO – Jovani Alvarez, 29, has been arrested in connection with a stolen jewelry case involving his wife, Karleen Alvarez.
An arrest affidavit stated Jovani Alvarez is charged with theft. He is accused of pawning jewelry the same day it was allegedly stolen by Karleen Alvarez, who was working as a maid at the time.
Karleen Alvarez was arrested Sunday and charged with theft as well. The affidavit stated Karleen Alvarez was a new employee at the maid service and the homeowner called police after noticing several items missing from her kitchen counter.
An online database led detectives to the couple.
