Victim identified in deadly bicycle hit-and-run Police search for driver in fatal crash
The search is on for a driver who hit and killed a bicyclist early Saturday morning.
A witness told police she saw a white SUV and dark-colored car racing in the 2900 block of West Commerce Street, moments before the bicyclist was hit around 1 a.m.
Police have identified the victim as 20-year-old Jose Carlos Macy.
According to police, Macy's bike was equipped with a safety light and he was riding the designated bike lane.
SAPD is looking for the driver of that dark colored car that fled after reportedly hitting the bicyclist.
