SAN ANTONIO – An 11-month-old baby girl drowned in a bathtub at an apartment complex Monday night on the city's Northeast Side.
According to a report from the San Antonio Police Department, an officer arrived at The Meadows of Bentley Drive at 8004 Bentley Drive shortly before 7 p.m. and tried to perform CPR on the baby.
EMS transported the baby to a hospital, where the child was pronounced dead by doctors.
A man who was alone with the baby at the time told police that he stepped out of the bathroom for a minute and found the baby face down in the tub when he returned, the report stated.
The case is under investigation.
