SAN ANTONIO – A mother of two died at the hospital after she flipped her SUV with her children inside.
The crash occurred just after 10 p.m. Sunday in the 5000 block of Loop 410 and Valley Hi Drive.
According to San Antonio police, the woman was driving on 410 when she lost control of her Chevy Tahoe, struck a cable guard and rolled over.
She was transported to University Hospital, but pronounced dead a short time later. She was identified as 32-year-old Alize Medina.
Police said the two children inside the SUV were not hurt. According to a preliminary police report, a witness told police Medina was looking at her cellphone when the SUV left the roadway. Police said she was not wearing a seatbelt.
