ME identifies man, woman killed in I-10 crash

SAN ANTONIO – The medical examiner's office identified the two people killed in a drunken-driving crash over the weekend.

Rolando Tavarez-Garcia, 28, and his girlfriend Mandy Garza, 26, were killed on Interstate 10 near West Hildebrand Avenue Saturday morning.

Police say the couple lost control of their Chevy Malibu and came to a stop on the highway when a drunk driver hit their car.

The driver has been identified as Manuel Martinez-Chavarria, 29.

He was arrested on two counts of intoxication manslaughter.
