SAN ANTONIO – Instead of getting his father a lesser sentence for his role in a $65 million laundering scheme with Los Zetas, Francisco Augustin Colorado Cebado and another man are headed to federal prison for attempting to bribe the federal judge who presided over the cartel's case.
Colorado Cebado, 26, also known as "Panchito," and Ramon Segura Flores, 52, were each sentenced to one year and one day in federal prison. They will also pay a $10,000 fine.

Prosecutors said the pair and 53-year-old Francisco Antonio Colorado Cessa, also known as "Pancho," planned to pay a federal judge $1.2 million to get Colorado Cessa a reduced sentence.
Colorado Cessa was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for his part in the money laundering scheme. Members of Los Zetas and both American and Mexican businessmen used drug money to buy, race and breed race horses.
Federal officials said the judge did not know about the bribe.
Colorado Cessa is awaiting sentencing for the bribery charge. He could receive up to five years in prison for that crime.
