ID released of teen fatally shot outside apartments

SAN ANTONIO – The name of a teenager who was shot multiple times outside a Northeast Side apartment complex has been released.

Quinton Jones, 18, was gunned down outside the Springhill Apartments in the 4800 block of Ray Bon Drive just before 11 p.m. Monday.

San Antonio police said Jones was shot at least eight times and pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses told police they saw two suspects flee the scene, but their description of the shooters was vague. No arrests had been announced as of 10 p.m. Tuesday.
