The affidavit stated that Davis' boss filed a complaint, saying that he discovered the money missing and confronted Davis, prompting him to confess.

Detectives also spoke with Davis and said he admitted taking several deposits from an AT&T store during a two-week period in September.

The affidavit stated that Davis told police he hid the money in his boot at the end of his shift instead of turning it in.

The deposits reportedly totaled more than $16,000.

Davis was fired shortly after the theft was discovered, the affidavit stated.

He was arrested Thursday on a theft charge.
