SAN ANTONIO – Police said a man in his 20s tried forcing himself into a home into a Northeast Side home Dec. 23 around 8:45 p.m.
Jeffery Gaston Jr., of Schertz, went to a home in the 8100 block of Shin Oaks Drive and tried to enter into a home occupied by a man and a woman.
Police said Gaston pulled out a knife and tried to attack the man before assaulting him with his fists.
The couple in the home told police Gaston left shortly before authorities arrived.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant Wednesday for Gaston and he was arrested without incident at his place of employment around 3:15 p.m.
Gaston is charged with burglary of habitation by assault.
