SAN ANTONIO – A 24-year-old man is charged with burglary in connection with a break-in at a former high school classmate's home.
The victim told San Antonio police the suspect, identified as Adrian Morua, also tried to stab him.
An arrest affidavit stated the 23-year-old man reported the burglary at his home Dec. 1.
He told police that he was napping in an upstairs bedroom when he suddenly woke up to his dog barking and heard the sound of someone moving items around on the first floor.
The affidavit stated that the victim went downstairs and confronted two men who he found ransacking his home.
He recognized one of them as Morua, who he knew from high school and called him by name, the affidavit stated.
The victim said the other suspect then ordered Morua to stab him, the affidavit stated.
Before that could happen, the resident ran out of his home to a neighbor's home where he called police.
The affidavit stated that the victim gave police the name of the suspect and when they showed him a photo, he positively identified Morua as one of the burglars.
It appears that police have not yet identified the second burglar.
