Woman breaks shoulder trying to outrun train

SAN ANTONIO – A woman was nearly run over by a train Saturday night on the city's East Side.

Police said around 9:30 p.m. a woman was walking on the railroad tracks near Burleson and Austin streets when she heard an oncoming train.

She tried to get off the tracks but she tripped and fell.

The woman managed to roll off the tracks moments before the train came rushing by.

The woman was taken to an area hospital with a broken shoulder.
