Lone Star Task Force nabs fugitive wanted in brutal East Side slaying

Dominique Green, 37, arrested Monday night in connection with murder of Reynaldo Guerrero

SAN ANTONIO – A fugitive wanted in a December slaying in east San Antonio has been arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.

Dominique Green, 37, was arrested Monday night in connection with the murder of Reynaldo Guerrero.

Guerrero was found dead in the back seat of his car on Dec. 3. He was tied up and shot multiple times.

An investigation into the slaying by SAPD detectives led to the arrest of Michael Ramos, 23, the next day.

According to an arrest affidavit, Ramos told SAPD investigators he arranged a drug transaction with Guerrero and two other men.

Ramos told police he made plans with one of the men to "hit a lick," described in the affidavit as stealing the victim's marijuana.

During the deal, Ramos told police the other two men held Guerrero at gunpoint and he was not allowed to leave.

Guerrero was killed and his car was found in the 300 block of Corliss.

After further investigation, an arrest warrant for capital murder was issued for Green on Feb. 18.

He was finally located Monday in an apartment in the 2300 block of Austin Highway.

According to a press release, Green was seen leaving the apartment as SWAT officers approached.

Officers identified themselves and took Green into custody without incident.

Green was being held in custody at the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.

The SAPD Gang Unit, ROPE Unit and SWAT Team all provided assistance to the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force to take Green into custody, the release stated.
