SAN ANTONIO – A 55-year-old woman who once used a stolen identification to get a nursing director's job has died.

Toni Stringfellow died Thursday afternoon at Hosptial Galveston, said Jason Clark, Texas Department of Criminal Justice public information director.

Stringfellow, who died of natural causes, was serving a 30-year sentence for fraudulent use/possession of identity information.

She was once hired as nursing director by McCullough Hall Nursing Center, Inc.

The Bexar District Attorney's Office said Stringfellow used the identity of her former prison cellmate's mother, who happened to be a registered nurse, to land the job.
