5th annual Food Truck Throwdown

SAN ANTONIO – There will be plenty to try at this weekend's 5th annual Food Truck Throwdown at Boardwalk on Bulverde.

The family-friendly event is expected to draw thousands Friday through Sunday. All are encouraged to bring food items to donate to the San Antonio Food Bank.

Here is the schedule:

• Friday: 6 - 11 p.m.
• Saturday: Noon - 11 p.m.
• Sunday: Noon to 8 p.m.

More than a dozen food trucks will serve up their original flavors in a competition. You can vote on your favorite truck by going to the Boardwalk on Bulverde Facebook page.

Voting will end Sunday evening and the winner will be announced Monday.
