CPS Energy's Casa Verde program offers summer bill relief

SAN ANTONIO – As summer temperatures continue to rise, CPS Energy is letting its customers know about ways to save money on electric bills.

CPS Energy held an event Thursday to explain the Casa Verde Weatherization Assistance Program, which is free to qualifying customers. 

Those who take advantage of the program save money on their energy bills in the winter, as well as the summer, CPS Energy said.

As part of the program, insulation is added to customers' homes to weatherize it, CPS Energy said.
