SAPD: Girlfriend stabs boyfriend with steak knife

SAN ANTONIO – One man was taken to University Hospital Sunday morning after his girlfriend stabbed him in the chest with a steak knife, police said.

San Antonio police responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 1200 block of Santa Monica between Interstate 10 and San Pedro Avenue.

According to authorities, the couple was arguing in the kitchen when the woman grabbed the weapon and stabbed the man in the upper chest.

He was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The woman was arrested and is being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police are investigating what the couple was arguing about.
